FAQ

What exactly does ConfiViews do?
ConfiViews exports selected Revit views to Excel and imports them back to recreate standardized views. It’s built to document view standards, share configurations, and reproduce them consistently in other projects.
What is the fastest workflow?
Open ConfiViews → filter views → select multiple views → Export Views → import the .xlsx in another model → preview → Create Views.
Can I export multiple views at once?
Yes. ConfiViews supports batch export: select one or many views (or select all) and export them to a single .xlsx.
What view data is exported to Excel?
ConfiViews exports view configuration such as:
  • Visible categories and subcategories
  • Worksets visibility
  • Filters (visibility / overrides)
  • View range (where applicable)
  • Phases and discipline settings
The goal is to reproduce the same “production-ready” view configuration in another project.
What happens if a view name already exists?
ConfiViews skips existing view names to avoid duplicates. This keeps your target model clean and predictable.
Which plan should I choose?
Starter and Standard are self-service (docs + tutorials). Enterprise is for teams that need human support and virtual training.
How many devices are included?
Starter includes 1 device activation. Standard includes 2 device activations. Enterprise scales per seat (minimum 5 seats). Manage devices in your portal.
Which Revit versions are supported?
Two installers are provided:
  • Revit 2019–2024
  • Revit 2025–2026
Get them here: Downloads.
Are schedules or legends supported?
No. ConfiViews focuses on production view types. Schedules and other non-graphical view types are excluded.
Import looks correct, but the created view doesn’t match exactly
Check if your target model has different templates, phases, filters, categories, or worksets than the source model. ConfiViews reproduces the exported configuration, but the project context can still affect final visibility.
The “DiFlow” tab doesn’t appear in Revit
Verify you installed the correct build for your Revit version. Check Manage → Add-in Manager for load errors. If needed, reinstall from your portal downloads.
